For gear owners
Attach your configured tag where a finder can see it. Test the NFC tap and QR code, and check that your recovery page shows the right contact details.
Keep those details up to date through the person managing your tag.
For gear finders
Hold a compatible phone near the NFC symbol, or use your camera to scan the QR code. Open the link and choose an available contact option.
If neither works, enter the printed 8-character Tag ID.

TapMyGear does not provide live GPS tracking. A finder needs internet access to open the recovery page. Contact details shown there, including phone numbers used for calls and texts, are visible to people who open the tag link.
